Planning Application Approved for new housing

Planning approval has been granted for the construction of six new dwellings in the village of Elsenham close to Stansted Airport. The proposals utilise an area of existing scrub land located between existing housing and the open countryside. Designed in an Essex vernacular style the houses provide a mix of two and three bedroom accommodation, each with its own off street parking and garden.

The proposal, which was approved at committee, utilises land which falls outside the village boundary however had been ear marked in the latest SHLAA as a potential area suitable for housing. Through detailed discussions and negotiations with the Local Planning authority the scheme was developed to meet current guidlines and went to committee with the full written support of the case officer. Work is planned to start later in the year.
