Contemporary new barn planning application

A planning application has been submitted for a new contemporary dwelling on the outskirts of London with great transport links to the City. The new dwelling is located on a site currently being developed and looks to provide a 3 bedroom dwelling with garaging set within its own landscaped gardens and pasture. The design looks to reflect the simplistic nature of the existing barns on the site and uses a simple palette of materials. Large expanses of glazing are incorporated set within a brick plinth and a timber frame clad in timber weatherboarding.

The dwelling forms part of the enabling development for the refurbishment of two existing Grade II listed barns located on the site and looks to create a mix of accommodation in line with local and national planning policies. The application is due for determination before Christmas with a view to work starting on site in the new year.
